Advocate
My goal is to serve as an advocate for those who need a voice. My advocacy centers around creating equitable spaces for students and training others to do so as well.
As a doctoral student, my current research focuses extensively on the topic of school climate from a disagregated lens. I believe that understanding school climate data will assist school leaders in creating a more equity centered school environment and therefore, build more successful students.
I would like to share those practices with school counselors as they develop their comprehensive programs. So, in addition to my regular work as a School Counseling Specialist, I offer training opportunities for school staff and as as a guest speaker with GSCA and ASCA.
